Mode of Action:

• Validamycin is a systemic antibiotic that effectively controls diseases caused by Rhizoctonia solani.

• It works by inhibiting trehalase, an enzyme essential for fungal energy metabolism.

• Results in stunted growth and death of fungal hyphae.

Target Crops & Diseases:

Dosage Recommendation:

• Per Acre: 400 – 600 ml

• Per Liter of Water: 2 – 2.5 ml

• Spray Interval: Repeat after 10–12 days if disease persists

Application Timing:

• Apply at early symptom stage of sheath blight in paddy (e.g., water-soaked lesions on leaf sheath).

• Preferable time: Morning or evening, avoid strong sunlight.

Precautions:

• Avoid spraying during rain or water-logged conditions.

• Use gloves and mask while handling.

• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
